This site builds upon concepts originally developed in my dissertation on the application of an Appreciative Inquiry model within educational environments. It serves as the foundational context for the Appreciation-Based AI-5D Human-Centered Framework™.  The theoretical grounding for this framework is rooted in the seminal work of David Cooperrider, PhD, whose scholarship established Appreciative Inquiry (AI) as a strengths-based approach to organizational development and change. Rather than concentrating on deficits or problems, Appreciative Inquiry centers attention on identifying what works well, understanding the conditions that give life to a system, and intentionally expanding those strengths to foster sustainable transformation.

Consistent with the research base, a central premise of this work is the evidence-based assertion that all organizations possess a positive core of strengths. When these strengths are intentionally identified, elevated, and amplified, they become catalysts for innovation, engagement, and sustainable transformation. The Appreciation-Based AI-5D Human-Centered Framework™ extends this foundation by translating Appreciative Inquiry principles into contemporary human-centered practices designed to inform and enhance AI-enabled and digitally mediated workplaces.
