Guiding Human-Centered Change

Application in Practice

The AI-5D Human-Centered Framework™ equips people, teams, and organizations to build resilience, continuous learning, and improvement through the 4Rs:


Reframe • Rephrase • Readjust • Repurpose


Applied through inquiry, this practice turns questions into action—making change reflective, transformative, and participatory. The framework views change as regenerative, unfolding through dialogue, collective inquiry, and the cultivation of human-centered systems to work in alignment with AI and digital workplaces.


The AI-5D Cycle

1. Define – Identify 1–3 priorities for now and the future
2. Discover – Surface strengths, risks, and barriers
3. Dream – Expand collective imagination and possibility
4. Design – Translate vision into systems, structures, and behaviors
5. Deliver / Destiny – Practice, reinforce, and sustain transformation


At the heart of an AI-5D human-centered practice are two guiding questions:

  1. How can work be reframed to enhance productivity while honoring human needs in an AI-enabled world—requiring new skills, roles, and ways of working?
  2. What does it take to understand how people truly create value while navigating risks, constraints, and unintended effects that can stall growth?

Core Principles

The appreciative mindset includes core principles for coaching, organizational development, and growth.


Appreciative Mindset – Focus on strengths, potential, and positive outcomes rather than deficits.


Human-Centered Design – Prioritize people’s experiences, needs, and insights in all processes.


AI-Augmented Insight – Use AI tools to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities while maintaining ethical, empathetic human oversight.


Relational Development – Foster connection, trust, and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.


Adaptive Change – Embrace flexibility, continuous learning, and iterative improvement.
