Scope of Practice Application

When organizations transform work, they create the conditions for people to perform at their highest potential.  A core driver of this transformation is intentional and open questioning through an appreciation-based AI-5D human-centered practice.


Applied across the AI-5D human-centered construct, intentional and open questioning turns inquiry into actionable insight, strengthening adaptability, collaboration, and innovation in AI-enabled digital environments.  What each phase uncovers:


  • Define – Identify priorities
  • Discover – Uncover strengths, patterns, and insights
  • Dream – Expand collective possibilities
  • Design – Translate vision into systems and structures
  • Deliver/Destiny – Practice, reinforce, and sustain transformation


Intentional questioning helps people and organizations make sense of what is happening by bringing risks to light, improving decision-making, and uncovering what may be getting in the way of change. This makes it easier to handle complexity, stay aligned, and work together more effectively, leading to greater creativity and innovation.

AI-5D Application

At the heart of this practice are two core questions:


  • How can we rethink work to strengthen people’s talents in an AI-driven world?
  • How do we understand how people create value amid ongoing disruptive change that can hinder progress?


The AI-5D Human-Centered Framework™ builds resilience, continuous learning, and improvement through the 5Rs—Reframe, Rephrase, Readjust, Repurpose, and Reposition—supporting inside-out and outside-in thinking for effective, reflective change. Through inquiry, it turns questions into action, making change participatory, regenerative, and grounded in appreciation-based, human-centered systems within AI-enabled workplaces.

AI -5D Principles

Core Principles of the AI-5D Appreciative Human-Centered Practice


The AI-5D human-centered framework defines transformation in AI and digital environments as a continuous, adaptive process of reassessment, reframing, and realignment—integrating repurposing, rephrasing, and reaffirming across all phases, rather than fixed, separate steps.                                                                                        


Adaptive Change – Embrace flexibility, continuous learning, and iterative improvement in response to evolving human, organizational, and AI-enabled contexts.


Appreciative Mindset – Centers on strengths, potential, and generative possibilities rather than deficits or gaps, enabling constructive,  future-focused action.


AI-Augmented Insight – Leverage AI tools to surface patterns, trends, and opportunities while maintaining ethical, empathetic, and critically engaged human oversight.


Human-Centered Design – Prioritize lived experience, needs, and human insight in shaping processes, systems, and potential solutions.


Inside-Out and Outside-In - Stay open to new ideas. Being receptive and courageous enough to consider perspectives different from your own creates space for possibility. These ideas can uncover solutions to challenges that may initially feel daunting or discouraging. When we move away from focusing solely on limitations and what needs fixing, we unlock a more creative and generative way of thinking.


Relational Development – Cultivate trust, connection, and collaborative capacity across individuals, teams, and stakeholders.
